Safety of tourists on vacation
To travel is wonderful, to learn new countries, unusual cities, to touch the traditions and culture of different peoples. From any trip there is always a lot of pleasant impressions, nevertheless, no one, for today, can be accurately insured against unpleasant situations.
Excessive carelessness and disinformation are the main causes of unpleasant nuances during incidents. Each country has its own national characteristics, because to avoid, and also to prevent possible unpleasant incidents, it is better to be well-prepared and knowledgeable tourist.
Remember that dishonest people are found in any country, not excluding the most civilized countries. Tourists, often, do not travel without money, so the basic rule of safety during the journey is the effort to merge with a crowd of indigenous people.
Do not show yourself as a tourist, and even more so in non-tourist places in the city. Do not say everywhere that you are a tourist and you should not open maps and city guides on the general view of the townspeople. The robbers have their own favorite places.
Often these are airports and train stations, various markets and large areas. They are attracted by tourists, who leave the bank's currency exchange offices.
To ensure that unpleasant situations do not exactly overshadow your planned vacation, be sure to take on the important safety rules for tourists, listed below:
1. Do not get carried away by frequent walks on the outskirts of cities and poor areas, especially in the evening or at night.
2. Wear all valuables only in internal and well-fastened pockets or in a bag which hangs on the shoulder.
3. You do not need to put your wallet or smartphone in the back pockets of your trousers.
4. Wear money in different places, in different pockets, keep all the money, as well as all bank cards separately.
5. It is much better to have a certain number of duplicates of protected cash cards that can not be used without knowing the secret PIN of the bank.
6. Do not need to carry documents or large sums of money, better leave all valuables in the hotel safe-deposit box.
7. Have a photocopy of your passport along with a copy of your health insurance, just in case.
8. Do not wear flashy, expensive jewelry and accessories.
9. Walking through non-tourist places, it is not necessary to get expensive equipment (such as smart phones, cameras and so on).
10. Instead of smartphones and tablets it is better to take with you a simple phone model that does not attract the attention of third parties.
11. Exchange currency exclusively in official, bank exchange offices, even if the "good" local citizen offers a more profitable course for you.
12. When you withdraw cash from ATMs, always look around, be sure to close the keyboard, screen, and cash received.
13. Do not lose vigilance, even with a nice conversation with strangers.
14. Always be on the alert in the crowd and in the queue, pay attention when strangers come close to you or "accidentally" push you.
15. When you are at the airport, do not put bags with expensive things on top of other suitcases, into the baggage cart.
However, if you are robbed, you need to loudly and clearly shout that all passers-by, as well as the security service at the airport immediately drew attention to the incident.
Remember these simple, but very useful safety rules for tourists and do not let troubles spoil you the impression of a wonderful vacation!
Enjoy your travels!
