Foreign fans will be able to enter Russia in a period beginning 10 days before the soccer game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup and ending on the day of the final without visas.

It is enough to have an identity document and a personalized map of the viewer. Instruction to the government to make up to December 18 in the State Duma a corresponding bill, signed by the president, is published on the Kremlin's website.

As the experts explain, this initiative of Vladimir Putin approves the scheme for foreign fans to join the Russian Federation, like the one that has already been successfully used during the Confederations Cup-2017.

After buying tickets for the championship matches, it will be enough for foreigners to visit a special page on the website of the organizing committee and on-line to give out the FAN ID. This document, submitted simultaneously with the passport, will be the basis for entry into the Russian Federation during the 2018 FIFA World Cup. In addition, he can take advantage of free public trips to stadiums, where matches are held, as well as electric trains between the cities - the organizers of the championship.

According to Sergei Voitovich, the head of the company "Svo TS", this scheme worked flawlessly during the Confederation Cup, the decision to extend it to the World Cup is welcomed. According to the expert, in the future such a mechanism will be useful for introducing as an electronic visa to Russia for citizens of some countries. For this, instead of the FAN ID, the tourist will need to specify only the voucher number for the hotel.

We add that the President's instructions for the organization of the World Cup in 2018 also instructed the Ministry of Transport to provide additional flights to the city of matches. The deadline for resolving this problem is March 31, 2018
